Mr Bobby Wee founded Racks Central in 2012. Tasked with the job of establishing the company’s strategic direction and creating business growth in the Asia Pacific region. Formerly from Asia Global Crossing holding various sales and marketing positions, a B.Sc. graduate in Electrical Engineering, he brings to the table in building data centre with energy efficiency, good connectivity and strong global content. Helping customers to resolve business problems with technology, connectivity, and cost efficiency. Mr Bobby Wee also worked closely with government institutions to embrace and introduce new energy efficient technology for local marketplace
Mr Edmund Tan ( CFO )
A Chartered Certified Accountant and Financial Analyst with over 19 years of experience in accounting, fund management, corporate finance and auditing, Mr Edmund Tan is a founding member of Zana Capital Management and has been involved in multiple listing exercises that range from syndicated loans to corporate restructuring.
Mr Gregory Ong ( CTO )
With over 19 years of experience in the info-communication technology industry, Mr Gregory Ong brings with him a wealth of experience from notable businesses such as GE, Honeywell, British Telecoms, AT&T and Nielsen. A certified PMI professional and trained Sigma Black Belt, with strong management experience in managing diverse multinational IT teams across 20 countries. Mr Gregory Ong has built and managed IT systems on a large regional level across Asia. His expertise lies in IT strategic planning, service delivery management, application development, leadership and talent management and Internet of Things (IOT) platform solutions.
Mr Michael Ong (VP of Sales)
Michael has 17 years of sales and management experience in the data centre and hosting industry. He is responsible for ensuring that customers’ experience with Racks Central is immaculate. He is one who rolls up his sleeves to join in the fun and get the job done.
As GM of SoftLayer Inc. in Singapore, now known as IBM BlueMix, Michael motivated the new team by personally dragging in an ice cooler of drinks and chocolates every morning until the office was ready. Countless meals with the team and customers kept the relationship building unbreakable.
Before Savvis was acquired by Century Link, Michael was their Sales Director focusing on enterprise and cloud hosting for the Asia Pacific region. He built the direct sales team and helped them close one of their largest hosting deal in Asia.
Michael was VP Sales in the pioneer team for a startup managed hoster known as Webvisions. They successfully grew the business in Singapore and expanded rapidly into Asia.
An engineer by training, Michael started his career in the telco industry with SingTel, AT&T and UUNET. Michael holds a MBA from Golden Gate University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Telecommunications Software from Information Communication Institute of Singapore in Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
