Role Purpose
The accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation, and supporting the organization’s financial operations. This role includes preparing reports, reconciling accounts, assisting with budgeting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records as required by Malaysian law.
Prepare and manage invoices, expenses, and run payment schedules.
Issue customer invoices and follow up on collections.
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with LHDN (tax authority) requirements.
Prepare and submit tax filings including C Form, CP204, CP58, PCB, SST (if applicable).
Handle SST (Sales & Service Tax) submissions and reconciliations where relevant
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
Monitor and maintain accurate tax and regulatory filings.
Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
Ensure compliance with company policies and internal control procedures.
Assist in process improvements to strengthen financial governance.

Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian taxation and SST
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
Preferred Certifications
CCPA, ACCA, CMA
Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
Familiar with accounting systems such MYOB
