Racks Central’s upcoming data centre in Nongsa Digital Park, Batam represents a major milestone in our Southeast Asia expansion strategy. This greenfield facility is designed to deliver up to 95MW of critical IT load, purpose-built to support high-density compute environments, AI workloads, and cloud-native infrastructure at regional scale.
Located within the special economic and digital zone of Nongsa, the site benefits from favourable investment incentives, streamlined permitting, and tax advantages—making it an attractive destination for cloud, AI, and hyperscale operators seeking to expand in close proximity to Singapore.
The Nongsa data centre integrates advanced infrastructure engineered for liquid-ready cooling, high-rack power densities, and modular deployment flexibility—enabling rapid scalability in response to evolving AI and HPC demands.
With direct low-latency connectivity to Racks Central’s Tai Seng facility in Singapore via redundant subsea and terrestrial links, the Nongsa facility forms a critical node in a cross-border, multi-site architecture. This allows for active-active AI training, geo-redundant deployments, and seamless data synchronization between Indonesia and Singapore.
Aligned with our ESG commitments, the facility is being developed to meet stringent efficiency and sustainability benchmarks, with optimized power usage design and future integration of renewable energy pathways.
By anchoring our Indonesian presence within Nongsa Digital Park, Racks Central expands its platform into one of Southeast Asia’s most strategically positioned digital corridors—bridging compute demand across the SIJORI growth triangle and reinforcing our role in powering the region’s AI and digital future.
